DJ Chuck-E presents DIRT-E SECRETS

“…I have been into Drum & Bass and ‘Jungle’ since my first taste of the scene back in 1992.  I actually played a couple of sets back in 1999-2001 but then after following the uplifting vibes of the hardcore and then the trance and hard trance scenes, I didn’t really follow the D&B scene as I once had.  In recent times the scenes exploded with so much amazing music it grabbed my attention once more, everything from the commercial chart topping hits right through to the ‘rude’ dirt-e jump up tracks. I fell in love with the sound all over again and have rocked up a mix containing a journeythrough the different vibes of Drum & bass that I am personally loving right now and thought I would share it with everyone… Myself and Jon the Baptist shall be writing Drum & Bass from November this year…. Hope ya enjoy..."

On Christmas eve JTB & Chuck-E were visited by the ghost of their dead label partner, Mars W, who sadly overdosed on Mafia Wars for seven days straight with no sleep. Solitaire & ‘alone time’ champion Mars begged the boys to give each of the globes Hard Trance lovers a Christmas present, to keep their spirits high & the music alive! Refusing to do so because of their busy studio & gig schedule, they were told that three ghosts - the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and that which is yet to come (future) - will visit them that night. In doing so they will show them what could be lost, and what they will leave behind after they have gone unless they mend their way!

Ghost of Mixmas Past: Hard Trance Classix Mix

In the past lies arguably, the Hard Trance scenes finest days!! With the dominating Hardstyle scene in effect, and the tech scene becoming more discrepant to ‘proper’ Hard Trance with each day, some say it’s Gone and forgotten? The 1999-2003 five year stretch saw the emergence of legendary producers including Scot Project, DuMonde, Uberdruck, and Reverb from S.H.O.K.K. & Flutlicht! The boys are taken back to this era by the 1st ghost ‘Obi wan Kenobi’, to collect the finest Hard & Uplifting records that the top guys in the industry had to offer, and give you lovely people a free Hard Trance classics mix so we can all remember the good days of where the music came from!

Ghost of Mixmas Present: Live @ Westfest 2009 feat’ MC Shocker

The Ghost of Christmas present ‘Yoda’ shows the boys how the ravers & clubbers who attended the bionic arena at the UK’s finest indoor festival, Slammin Vinyls ‘Westfest’ are waiting & constantly calling on them to release the recorded set that they had so much great feedback from. Featuring the brand new tracks and big anthems that the boys are currently dropping each weekend in the clubs! They bring you ‘Live @ Slammin Vinyl ‘Westfest’ feat’ MC Shocker.

Ghost of Mixmas Future: 2010 studio mix

And on to the future, where the 3rd ghost ‘Anakin Skywalker’ takes us to January 2010, where the clubbing world is abeyant and dormant, and the party crews are recharging their batteries from the festive season and their new years stompin’ sessions. JTB & Chuck-E are asked to collect the future of Hard & Uplifting European Trance and fuse them with the tunes from this year that will still be rockin’ in their 2010 sets. This gives everybody some awesome music as they wait for the clubbing scene to re-ignite!
